Removes backgrounds from images and videos with one AI command: batch whole folders, use a portrait model, refine edges or swap in a solid color, and output transparent MOV or composite video onto a new background. Runs locally; install PyTorch and ffmpeg first. Models download on first run.

Open-source font editor: fontforge -script runs Python scripts headlessly to batch-edit glyphs, convert between OTF, TTF, UFO and other formats, and generate fonts, for type design and font processing. Homebrew installs the CLI version; install the desktop app for the GUI.

Community-maintained MCP for Jira and Confluence: search with JQL/CQL and create or update issues, pages and comments. Supports both Cloud and Server/Data Center deployments; needs an API token or personal access token.

Font toolkit: pyftsubset subsets fonts to the characters you use and outputs WOFF2 to shrink web fonts, and ttx converts fonts to editable XML for inspection and edits. Needs Python 3.11+ and the woff extra for WOFF2; check the license before subsetting commercial fonts.

Mistral's official open-source terminal coding assistant: uses Mistral models to read and write code, run commands and search the codebase, with multiple agent profiles and subagents, plus Skills, MCP and a --prompt scripting mode. Needs a Mistral API key.

Lets agents operate Home Assistant: control devices, query state and history, create and debug automations and edit dashboards, with 80+ tools. Community-maintained (unofficial); requires your own Home Assistant instance, and running via uvx needs a long-lived access token.

Moves files to the trash instead of deleting them, with commands to list, restore and empty trashed files, so anything an agent deletes by mistake can be recovered. Follows the FreeDesktop.org trash spec and shares the trash with GNOME and KDE.

Open-source toolkit widely used in localization: converts between PO, XLIFF, TMX, CSV, subtitle and other translation formats, counts words, runs 40+ translation checks with pofilter and extracts frequent terms with poterminology. Needs Python 3.11+.

Redis's official MCP server: read and write strings, hashes, lists, streams, JSON and other data structures in natural language, with vector indexing and search and pub/sub. Bring your own Redis instance; runs via uvx.

Third-party LSP plugin marketplace with 30+ language server plugins, including TypeScript, Python, Rust, Go, Java, C/C++, Vue, Svelte, Elixir and Haskell, covering more languages than the official set. Requires Claude Code 2.1.50+; install the language servers yourself.

Official CLI for Weblate, the open-source translation platform: check translation progress for projects and components, upload and download translation files, lock components, and commit or push repository changes. Hosted or self-hosted; needs the server URL, an API key and Python.
